You can't see the anointing. But you can tell.
On the sides of the cap are the two signs: the dove and the fire. The Spirit that came down on Jesus at the Jordan, and the one that fell on the church at Pentecost. Two different moments, one and the same Spirit.
Anointed doesn't mean perfect. It means set apart for something.
